Habitat
Poppys grow as an annual all over North America.It is found along the entire West Coast of U.S.A.

Medicinal Uses
Poppy seeds contain small quantities of both morphine & codeine, which are pain relieving drugs that are still used today.
Physical Characteristics
The poppy is found in bright colors. It only has four petals in all. Its receptacle is pink which is in the form of a cup.
Fun Fact
Poppies have been a rememberance of soldiers who have died during war time.
